Compassionate and collaborative mental health counseling
Feeling overwhelmed, listless, or lost?
Help and hope are available here.
Whether you're considering beginning therapy for the first time, continuing or returning to treatment, good for you! You're already taking positive steps to improve your mental health and well-being. I meet clients wherever they are in life and utilize a strengths-based, collaborative approach to help them get to where they would like to be. I support clients in identifying areas in which they may benefit from making changes and help them develop effective skills to do so, as well as working toward acceptance to decrease suffering in areas in which a person may feel stuck. My therapeutic style incorporates authenticity, warmth, humor, and positive regard for the strengths of each individual.
I currently provide individual psychotherapy services to adults (ages 18+) in-person at my St. Paul office, or virtually via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. I have several years of experience practicing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and enjoy incorporating these skills-based theories and treatment strategies into my work from a Person-Centered approach. My therapy practice also utilizes Positive Psychology (a focus on increasing wellness rather than just decreasing illness) and Solution-Focused strategies to generate hope and vision for the future.

Many people feel nervous about reaching out to a potential new therapist so I do my best to be open and transparent to help you understand what the treatment process may involve. I especially enjoy connecting with newcomers to therapy and welcome calls and emails with any questions you may have to help you make an informed decision in choosing a therapist! I offer a 15-minute complimentary phone or video consultation for prospective clients to help determine if working together could be a good fit.
